Dreams are made of

sand and water.

Sueño el Sahara.

Sahara means just desert

walking and walking

across this european

urban desert

where sun and sand

are an absence.

Sueño el Sahara

in the North Pole

of computer based days

in the darkness.

Remaping the past

I write Algeciras; Melilla,

el Aaiún, Orán,

like a litany.

Like the sounds

of my father´s voice

as he said:

I come from the North,

from de North of Africa.

Algeria became the origin

of this wandering and wandering

through imaginary landscapes.

So I dream the past

for the present.

Grandfather and dad

are long ago

sand and water.
